Manufacturers' Warranty Terms

For your convenience, Gollihur Music has collected the terms of many of our manufacturers' product warranties. These are the terms that are supplied by each manufacturer, in their own words, and are subject to change without notice.

I hope that this information is useful to you, but please be aware that each manufacturer sets their own policies, and any warranty service is subject to those policies.

Important note about warranty coverage outside the USA: Products sold are subject to US warranty terms, and in many cases may need to be returned to the US for service. In those cases purchasers must return items to the US at their cost, and in some cases may need to cover some or all the costs for reshipment, depending on the warranty arrangement with the manufacturer. In some cases parts may be supplied for local installation/replacement. Please contact the manufacturer directly for details on how they can handle warranty claims outside the USA.

Our Warranty

As a general statement, during the first five years, we will repair for free or replace (at our option) any of our products if they are not functioning as they should. Beyond that, we will fix any of our products without charge no matter how old they are. Both commitments apply whether you are the first owner or the fifteenth.

You are, however, on the hook for the shipping, including assuring that the amp is well protected and insured. But please call first because in many cases a return will not be necessary because we can frequently pinpoint the problem over the phone and ship you a part along with instructions for a DIY repair.

Beyond that, there are a few additional caveats: naturally, free service is only available to products that have not been tampered with or abused, modified, repaired by third parties. Also, drivers are only covered for the initial owner for manufacturing defects (180 days), not longer term wear and tear. And to resuscitate older products, we must be able to get our hands on replacement parts. But in the unlikely event that we don't have the parts to fix your AI combo or integrated amp, we will offer a generous trade-in for the old unit toward a new one. We can then cannibalize your trade-in for parts.

Please call Acoustic Image to obtain return authorization and shipping instructions prior to returning any product for warranty repairs.

Bottom line, we don't say that ours is a "lifetime warranty" or even a "limited lifetime warranty". We do, however, commit to treat you the way we would like to be treated. For good.

Limited Warranty
Duration of this warrantee will remain in effect for one year from the date of the original purchase. This warranty may be enforced by the original purchaser and subsequent owners during the warranty period, so long as the original dated sales receipt or other proof of warranty coverage is presented when warranty service is required.

What is covered?
Except as specified below, this warranty covers all defects in materials and workmanship in this product. The following are not covered by the warranty:
  • Damage resulting from accident, misuse, abuse or neglect.
  • Failure to follow instructions included with microphone.
  • Repair or attempted repair by anyone not authorized by A.M.T.
  • Failure to remove battery when storing.
  • Cause other than product defects including: lack of skill, competence, or experience of use.
  • Damages occurring during any shipment of this product (claims must be presented to carrier).
  • Damage to any unit which has been altered, or which the serial number has been defaced, modified, or removed.
We will pay all labor and material expense for covered items. Shipping charges are discussed later in this warranty. If your unit needs service, please write or telephone us and we will advise you where the unit should be taken or sent. If you write us, include your name, complete address, daytime telephone number, and a description of the problem.

DO NOT RETURN YOUR UNIT TO AMT WITHOUT A REPAIR AUTHORIZATION NUMBER.

If it is necessary to ship the product for service:
You must pay initial shipping charges, but if necessary repairs are covered by the warrantee, AMT will cover the return shipping charges via carrier of AMT's choice to any destination within the United States. Whenever warranty service is required a copy of the original dated sales receipt must be presented.

Exclusion of certain damages:
AMT's liability for any defective product is limited to repair of replacement of the product of our option. AMT shall not be liable for damages based upon inconvenience, loss of use of the product, loss of time, interrupted operation, commercial loss; or any other damages whether incidental, consequential, or otherwise. Some states do not allow limitations an implied warrantee lasts, and/or do not allow the exclusion or limitations of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warrantee is not enforceable outside of North America. This warrantee gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

All products from DPA Microphones are covered by a two-year limited warranty on both mechanical functionality and documented specifications as long as the items are not mistreated, abused or modified in any way. In case of a warranty claim your invoice is your warranty registration.



D-TAR (duncan | turner acoustic research)

Limited Warranty

D-TAR offers the original purchaser a one-year limited warranty on both labor and materials starting from the day this product is purchased from an Authorized D-TAR Dealer. D-TAR will repair or replace this product, at its option, if it fails due to faulty workmanship or materials during this period. Defective products should be returned to your USA dealer, international distributor, or sent direct to our factory postage prepaid along with dated proof of purchase (e.g., original store receipt) and a RMA number clearly written on the outside of the box. Please call our factory at 805-964-9610 for an RMA number.

This warranty does not apply to damage to this product or an instrument caused by misuse, mishandling, accident, abuse, or alteration. Product appearance and normal wear and tear (worn pain, scratches, etc.) are not covered by this warranty. D-TAR reserves the right to be the sole arbiter as to the misuse or abuse of this product. D-TAR assumes no liability for any incidental or consequential damages, which may result from the failure of this product. Any warranties implied in fact or by law are limited to the duration of this express limited warranty.

Limited Warranty

The warranty period for Euphonic Audio Speaker Cabinets is THREE YEARS from the date of purchase. The warranty period for Euphonic Audio iAMP ® amplifiers is ONE YEAR from the date of purchase This covers defects in material and workmanship for the original owner. The warranty is void under the following conditions:
  • If the unit has been damaged due to accident, improper handling, installation or operation
  • If the unit has been damaged in shipping Abuse or misuse
  • Unauthorized repair or attempted repair
  • If the serial number has been defaced or removed
Euphonic Audio Inc. reserves the right to make such determination of the above on the basis of factory inspection.

All liability for any incidental or consequential damages for breach or any expressed or implied warranties is disclaimed and excluded here from.

Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so that the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.

Repair Procedure
Please follow these steps if your Speaker Cabinet requires repair:
  1. Locate your original bill of sale which should include date and place of purchase.
  2. Call, FAX or write to Euphonic Audio describing the problem and for issue of a Return Authorization Number (RA)
  3. Pack the unit carefully, preferably in the original shipping carton, enclose a brief description of the problem, and a copy of the Bill of Sale. Write the RA number on the carton and ship prepaid to the factory. Please be sure to properly insure the unit when shipping it.
  4. If it is determined that the unit is under warranty, we will repair the unit as deemed appropriate (repair or replacement parts) free of charge and return the repaired unit to you.
  5. If it is determined that the unit is not under warranty, we will return the repaired unit COD for the cost of repair, shipping and insurance.

We agree to repair or replace the instrument, without charge, if found to be defective due to any fault of ours. This guarantee does not cover natural wear of the instrument, replacement of strings or mishandling."

Limited Warranty

Your H-clamp is designed and manufactured to aerospace standards, using aircraft grade materials. It is extremely robust and if used according to the instructions in the user manual, should continue to work perfectly for a lifetime.

To ensure you get a lifetime of service from your H-clamp, Exploraudio backs every H-clamp with the following warranty:

1. For the 1st year after purchase, any defective H-clamp will be replaced free of charge.
2. After the first year, for as long as you own your H-clamp, if it becomes faulty, it can be returned for a free overhaul. All necessary repair work will be free of charge but any parts used in the repair may be chargeable at the normal spares price. You will be advised of any costs before they are incurred.

Your complete satisfaction is very important to us. In the unlikely event that your Fishman product requires service, our in-house representatives will be happy to resolve any issue you may have.

LIMITED WARRANTY
Fishman acoustic amplification products (“Product”) are warranted to the original consumer purchaser to be free of defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase. If the Product fails to function properly due to defects in materials or workmanship during the applicable warranty period, Fishman Transducers Inc. (“Fishman”), at its option, will repair or replace the Product, with no charge for labor or materials. This warranty applies only if the Product is sold and delivered within the U.S. by an authorized Fishman Dealer.

EXCEPT AS SPECIFICALLY PROVIDED IN THIS DOCUMENT, THERE ARE NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IN NO EVENT SHALL FISHMAN BE LIABLE FOR LOSS OF PROFITS OR INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR OTHER SIMILAR DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY OR OTHER OBLIGATION CONTAINED IN THIS DOCUMENT. THE WARRANTY CONTAINED HEREIN SHALL NOT APPLY IF THE SERIAL NUMBER IS DEFACED OR REMOVED OR THE PRODUCT HAS BEEN DAMAGED BY ALTERATION, MISUSE, ACCIDENT, NEGLECT OR USE WITH UNAUTHORIZED ATTACHMENTS.

TERMS OF WARRANTY SERVICE
Warranty service and repairs are to be made only at the Fishman factory. Unauthorized repairs will void this warranty. The customer must contact Fishman Service & Support and obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA) before delivering the product to Fishman, freight prepaid.

Product repaired under warranty at the Fishman factory will be returned to the customer via UPS ground freight, prepaid by Fishman to any location within the continental United States. Product returned to Fishman that is not covered by the terms of this warranty will be serviced only after payment is arranged.

HOW TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE:
  1. Contact Fishman Service & Support by clicking here. We will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Products returned without an RMA number will be refused.
  2. Pack the product carefully. Include the RMA number and your shipping address (no P.O. boxes or route numbers please). Also include a copy of your sales receipt and a note explaining how to duplicate the problem. If we cannot duplicate the problem at the factory or verify the original purchase date, we may, at our option, charge for parts/labor and return shipping.
  3. Ship the product freight prepaid. Once Fishman has issued an RMA number for the item, shipping information will be provided for your return, including updates throughout the course of your factory service. Do not return your item without authorization.

Genz•Benz

Genz Benz warrants all products to be free from defects in material and workmanship, for a period of 3 years from the date of purchase, when purchased from an authorized Genz Benz dealer.

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear incurred from normal designed use of the product or use of performance beyond its intended design. This warranty is valid in the US and Canada only. Consult your local distributor for local warranty policy.

Preamp and power amp tubes are warrantied by their respective manufacturers for a specific time and are not part of the Genz Benz 3 year warranty period.

Except to the extent precluded by State Law, Genz Benz specifically excludes from this warranty any responsibility for consequential or special damages. This warranty is only effective if a copy of the original sales receipt is presented at the time of warranty service. This limited warranty is completely transferable to any subsequent buyer as long as the original sales receipt is transferred to such subsequent buyer.

GENZ BENZ will repair or replace, at its option, any defective materials provided the product:
  • Has not been misused, abused, tampered, altered, or damaged wither by accident or during shipment.
  • Has not been modified or repair attempted by unauthorized personnel.
  • Has not been subjected to excessive or insufficient power, i.e. burned or discolored voice coils or crossover components.
  • Has been returned to Genz Benz or its authorized service center, freight pre-paid, together with copy of the original sales receipt, from an authorized dealer.
  • Has been registered with Genz Benz within 10 days of purchase date.
  • Has its original serial number intact and has not been defaced, changed or removed.
Genz Benz makes no other warranties, written or implied, with respect to its products merchantability or fitness for a specific purpose, other than covered in the duration of length of this warranty. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, which vary from state to state.



Kala Ukelele

KALA UKULELE WARRANTY

Every Kala Brand Ukulele carries a limited lifetime warranty that covers it against manufacturing defects and materials. Makala Ukulele carries a warranty against manufacturing defects and materials for the period of 1 year from the date of purchase. Electronics and tuning machines are warranted for the period of 1 year from the date of purchase. Kala Brand Music Co. reserves the right to determine upon inspection if the warranty claim is valid or not.

Upon purchase of your instrument please visit www.kalaukulele.com to download and print a Kala Brand registration form. After you fill it out, either E-mail or mail it to us to register your purchase.

This warranty is valid to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable. The instrument must have been purchased at an Authorized Kala Brand Dealer. Please keep your original sales receipt. It is required to make a valid warranty claim. Any modification to the instrument will void the warranty. Unsolicited returns and shipments to Kala Brand Music Company or any of its authorized dealers will be ignored.

ITEMS NOT COVERED UNDER THIS WARRANTY:
  • Damage due to negligence, misuse, accident, or improper maintenance practices.
  • Normal fret and string wear on the instrument including broken strings and tuners due to improper tuning.
  • Damage resulting from exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, dry climates, or salt air climates. Failure to use a humidifier on Kala all solid-wood ukuleles and all acoustic U-Bass instruments will void your warranty if any cracking occurs. Warranty claims may not be considered if a quality humidifier (Humistat™, Oasis™, Planet Waves™) is not used with your Kala instrument while it is stored in its case or bag. When the instrument is not in its case or bag for more than two days we recommend it be stored in a room with a relative humidity of 40-60% with its humidifier correctly installed inside the instrument.
  • Exposure to heating or cooling sources that cause damage to the instrument.
  • Personal opinions relating to the sound and tone of the instrument.
  • Instruments damaged in transit.
  • All instruments marked with a stamped “2” on the back of the headstock are “Kala seconds” and are excluded from Kala Brand Music Company’s warranty policy. These instruments are non-refundable and non-returnable to either Kala Brand Ukulele Company or the authorized dealer in where it was purchased.

TO MAKE A CLAIM: Please contact your Authorized Kala Brand dealer to discuss the issue with them. Often times they will be able to help you quickly resolve the problem. All warranty claims must be placed through the authorized Kala Brand Music dealer where the instrument was purchased. This includes, but is not limited to, mail order purchases, internet sales, in-store purchases, and authorized online auction sites.



K&K Sound

Warranty:
K&K Sound Systems grants all its customers a 12-month warranty unless declared otherwise. If your product becomes defective within 12 months of receiving it, we will repair or exchange it free of charge. This warranty excludes products that have become defective due to consumer-inflicted damage, rough handling, or not following installation instructions. Postage must be prepaid by customer. A sales receipt/proof of purchase must be included with all defective products.
Contact Gollihur Music or K&K Sound for an RA (Return Authorization) number before returning any items.



König & Meyer (K&M)
LAST UPDATED: September 2011

  1. Our products have a 5 year guaranty.
  2. In addition, we offer a replacement part service on all our catalogue products for 10 years.
Under the terms of these conditions, König & Meyer’s guarantee covers all defects which are verifiably material defects or manufacturing defects for the period of the guaranty.

In case of warranty please contact your local dealer/distributer in your country.

The guaranty does not cover the following:
  • Products which have deteriorated through use or natural wear and tear,
  • Product defects which are the result of inappropriate use, aberrant environmental conditions, abnormal operating conditions, strain or inadequate maintenance or care.
  • Product defects which are caused by the use of accessories, components or replacement parts which are not original components.
  • Products which have been modified or altered.
  • Minor aberrations from the specified quality which are irrelevant regarding the value and fitness of purpose of the product.
In the event that material or manufacturing defects become apparent during the guaranty period, you may submit a complaint to your retailer. Please present your sales receipt with the product you are returning. If the complaint is justified, we will decide whether to repair or exchange the product (if needs be, with a late model).



Radial Engineering (ToneBone)
BassBone Switcher/Preamp, BigShot i/O Switch

Standard Warranty:
All products sold by RADIAL come with a 1-year limited warranty. This limited warranty protects you against defects in workmanship. The warranty does not cover any consequential or inconsequential damage or any losses. Specifically, if you have a problem due to defect, you must make the arrangements and cover the costs to return the product to us with a copy of the original sales invoice and we will repair the product and return it to you at our cost. All warranty claims require a return authorization. Contact the RADIAL service department for details.

Transferable 3-Year Warranty:
Some RADIAL products come with a 3-Year Transferable Warranty. This means that if you buy the product and decide to sell it, the warranty can be transferred to the person that buys it, thus providing continuous warranty support and added value. This Transferable Warranty follows the same procedures and limitations outlined in the Standard Warranty. This means that if you sell the product, you must provide the buyer with a copy of your original invoice so that he, in turn, may be able to submit this should a warranty claim be required.

Warranty Limitation:
As with all typical warranties, only manufacturing defects are covered. Furthermore, parts that are subject to wear and tear such as switches, potentiometers and tubes are not covered under this warranty. This, however, does not mean that these will not be repaired or replaced free of charge. We pride ourselves in supporting the products we sell and will often exchange these parts free of charge pending the age of the device. This decision will be undertaken by RADIAL and in no way obliges the company to perform such tasks.



Traynor Amplifiers (Yorkville)
DB100 Dynabass Amplifier
LAST UPDATED: September 2011

2 Year Unlimited Warranty:
Traynor's two-year unlimited warranty on this product is transferable and does not require registration with Traynor Amplifiers or your dealer. If this product should fail for any reason within two years of the original purchase date (ten years for the wooden enclosure), simply return it to your Traynor dealer with original proof of purchase (PRIOR RETURN AUTHORIZATION REQUIRED - contact Gollihur Music BEFORE returning any item) and it will be repaired free of charge.

Freight charges, consequential damages, weather damage, damage as a result of improper installation, damages due to exposure to extreme humidity, accident or natural disaster are excluded under the terms of this warranty. Warranty does not cover consumables such as vacuum tubes.

This warranty is valid only in Canada or the United States of America. For more information on enforcing your warranty coverage outside Canada & the United States of America please contact Traynor Amplifiers - World Headquarters.



Velvet Strings

Warranty:
All Velvet Strings products are covered by a limited one-year warranty (from the date of purchase) against manufacturer's defects. The receipt should be requested/obtained from your dealer or supplier directly.

Limitations of Liability:
Velvet Strings is not responsible for direct, special, negligence or incidential damages.

The warranty is limited in duration to the limited warranty period. No warranties apply after that period.
