Bob and Mark were pleased to have the opportunity to put the prototype of the original Series III Ten2 through its paces, and we're happy to say that the newest Series 4 model again raises the bar for Acoustic Image products. The Ten2 combo (and its matching extension cab) are the world’s smallest and lightest dual-tens - and the only ones to offer transparent 360-degree AI sound.

The newest model in the Acoustic Image line, the Ten2 Combo, offers significantly more midrange presence compared with other AI enclosures, without the typical “hump” served up by traditional cabs. This is, in part, thanks to a specially designed crossover which also corrects for phase differences between downfiring and frontfiring drivers.

In addition, they have added their new proprietary Room Coupling Control to help tame boomy acoustic settings. Thanks to its frequency range and frontfiring woofer, the Ten2 is well suited to bass, guitar, piano, and vocals—in fact, to any musical application calling for a more forward presentation of the time-honored AI sound.

The Ten2 combo also incorporates an 650W Clarus head and the Cabrio Docking System, which allows you to separate the head from the cabinet for independent use.

Note that the comparison photo to the left is a prototype of the Ten2; the production model does not have the "Spiderman" grille (which was custom-made for the original prototype) - the production models feature the more subtle grille shown on the official product photo to the right.

NEW with Series 4 Models:

Channels: The Ten2 is now available in one-channel and two-channel versions.

Power: Both Ten2 amplifiers use the same power amplifier, which provides 650w at 4 ohms.

Effects: Both Ten2 models now feature the built-in effects.

Sound: They also, thanks to the new power amp design, have "dramatically improved fidelity," with lower distortion and even lower noise - and the Series III models were already highly regarded for their low signal-to-noise ratio!

Important note concerning orders for Japan: Acoustic Image units are equipped with switchable power supplies for 120 and 240 volts. The units we sell are not configured for the 100v standard in Japan.
