<>D'Addario Helicore
As you've probably gathered from reading our string descriptions, the selection of string can make a profound difference in response, so D'Addario offers strings in three flavors: Orchestra, Hybrid, and Pizzicato.
The Orchestra strings are very bowable, and are designed for less sustain, since orchestral players are not looking for the same level of sustain that a jazz pizzicato performer would want. However, they've got great thump power and enough sustain for many players that play a variety of styles.
The Hybrids are a purposeful compromise between Orchestral and Pizzicato strings. They have slightly more growl and sustain, not quite as bowable as the Orchestra set but still quite a nice compromise if you want a bit more grit and sustain than the Orchestral strings provide.
D'Addario also makes Helicore Pizzicato strings; they have the most sustain and growl in the Helicore family. Frankly, I feel that Helicore Pizz are D'Addario's version of the Thomastik Spirocores, so you may want to go for the orginals.

- nice warm tone from steel strings
- Orchestral: bowable, smooth sound with thumpier pizz
