I've been looking for a new case for a while, one with truly professional features. While the Gollihur Bags are great cases for the money, some of my customers who are gigging more frequently have asked for a bag with heavier padding and backpack straps. I'm happy to announce that I've found such a bag, and it still won't break the bank!

This new bag has dense, lined padding that is approximately 1¼" thick. How dense? In the pictures on this page, the bag is standing on its own with no instrument inside it! This is no floppy bag. Internally, the padding extends over the zippers to protect your instrument's finish from being scratched by the heavy-duty zippers.
NOW ALSO AVAILABLE IN BLACK!

The seven carrying and "wrangling" handles have some serious stitching, and use reinforced leather tabs for rugged reliability -- the photos tell the tale. Many of the handles have a soft vinyl wrap for comfort, and the handles are in sensible, useful locations for carrying the bag - as well as maneuvering it through a doorway or into your car.

Another useful feature: wheels!
The case has a pair of durable 1.5 inch luggage-style wheels at the bottom of the back. They're mounted to a sturdy but lightweight internal plate to provide structure. Also note the cinch-straps at the bottom of the case; these allow you to tighten the bag to provide a more secure fit for your instrument. There is also a cinch-strap around the base of the neck to keep the neck from moving around inside the case.
This deluxe case also has plenty of skid-patches at points where the back might contact the ground; these provide additional impact protection to your bass, as well as protect the fabric of the case from premature wear.
Pockets? This case has plenty! On the front, an extra-large pleated bow pocket has room for many hard and soft bow cases (unfortunately ours is a little too big) and there's also an expandable accessory pocket for rosin, tuner, pickup and preamp, or other small "bassic" items. On the back, the large pair of flat pockets are great for music, lesson material, and more. And the back pockets have protective flaps over the zippers to protect your back when carrying the bass...
Oh, did I forget to mention? This bag has BACKPACK STRAPS, a feature that I have often been asked about! They're adjustable, well-padded, and have a harness across the front to keep them from slipping off your shoulders. And like the handles, they're reinforced and heavily stiched.
Will it fit your bass??? Click Here, or on the image below, "...for case dimensions" and compare the numbers to your instrument.

Here is what some of our customers think about this product:

I received my black pro bag case and Bass Max pickup the other day.
All I can say is WOW! That case is so nice...I was about to spend hundreds more for a competitor's case of comparable value. For the price, nothing comes close. What a great case. Lots of padding inside and good reinforcement on the outside in all the right places, several handles and the backpack strap is great. It fits my Juzek perfectly. The wheels are real bonus!
Now, about the Bass Max...I can't believe how great it sounds with my Juzek, running through my Ampeg SVT6 Pro!!! Just awesome. Great pizz sound, with a real natural tone, and just enough string sound, and it sounds fabulous with the bow (using Piastrasso Obligatto's). I am running it directly into the amp...I have a Sadowsky outboard pre-amp, but have not even tried using it with the Bass Max because it sounds so great directly into the Ampeg!! It is literally a quantum step up from my older Fishman BP-100. I can't believed I waited this long to get the Bass Max.
Thank You!
