Meisel MCT-8L Clip-On LCD Chromatic Tuner This clip-on tuner senses vibration - tune up in noisy rooms... and even check intonation as you play!
An updated version of the popular MCT-7L, the cool new MCT-8L tuner doesn't rely on a mic - it has a small transducer built into the spring-loaded clamp, sensing the actual vibration of your instrument. If you've ever tried to tune your bass while the rest of the orchestra or band is tuning up, you know how frustrating it can be if you're relying on your tuner's mic.
This little tuner, at 1.75 x 1.75 x 0.5 inches (tuner body only, it's 2.2 inches deep including the clamp) and a ridiculously light 1.2 ounces (including clamp), it’s light enough to mount on your bridge (see movie link below). The brightly back-lit 7/8 x 7/8 inch multi-angle swiveling LCD panel automatically detects and displays note names, making it ideal for bass and any other acoustic instruments.
The MCT-8L is the successor to the very popular MCT-7L Tuner, which we've carried for some time now. The big differences? The new tuner is smaller. The tuning calibration range was widened. It now features a non-volatile memory, which means it remembers your tuning settings. And no more button rattle!! Besides that, it has the same features, accuracy and convenience - and it's less expensive to boot!
