Pure XLR Preamp

Powered by a 9 volt battery or externally supplied phantom power. (battery not included)

This 1-channel all-purpose preamp (magnetic/piezo) is an upgraded version of the Pure Preamp. It adds a phase switch and a balanced XLR output along with the ¼" line output (which you can use for a tuner or for stage monitoring). You can power the unit with phantom power through the XLR output, and its powerful EQ section and gain controls are all externally mounted and readily accessible.

K&K Sound preamps are full-range, and suitable for use with any pickup. Due to their 1 megohm input impedance, they are ideal for piezo-based and magnetic pickups. Yup, I've been known to use my Pure Preamp with my old '71 Fender Precision fretless bass, for that "active" sound without making nasty new holes in that sweet old bass.

Do you need a preamp?
